I grew up on stages before I ever thought of them that way: dance, cheerleading, community theater, always the kid with a speaking part in the school play. I went on to study broadcast journalism, and then did not use a word of it for over a decade.
In 2024 I got talked into competing in the Last Standing Comic competition, five minutes of stand up in front of a sold out Funny Bone. It did not go great. But it was the moment I realized I genuinely love being in front of a crowd, and a mentor who used to work at a credit union took notice and took me under his wing. One thing led to another.
My first real speaking engagement came in 2025, at the American Credit Union Mortgage Association's annual conference in Colorado. Five of us were chosen to speak, and my name got pulled first. I remember sitting there barely breathing before I went up, and then everything clicked the second I got on stage. Every time since has felt a little more natural.
The part of my story that actually shaped me has less to do with any stage and more to do with being a middle child, an older sister, a younger brother, and a lifelong pull to be noticed and to make my parents proud. I was also raised in church, and that faith is still the rock everything else sits on. It is where the Rooted Framework actually comes from.

At a conference in Colorado, Allie pulled out a physical Bible and read a verse straight from it, live, from the podium. It became the single most repeated piece of audience feedback she received. She does not perform faith on stage, but she does not edit it out either.
By day she is still an award winning mortgage loan officer, over fifteen years in. She spent a stretch chasing management roles before she was ready for them, then returned to the credit union space where her best relationships and results had always been. That return became the seed of the Rooted Framework.
The humor is not a speaking technique she picked up. The same quick wit and relatable stories once had her doing a set at The Funny Bone, which is why her talks feel less like a keynote and more like a conversation.
